Goldstone Radar Observations Planning: 2015 FS332
2015 FS332 was discovered by Pan-STARRS 1 on 2015 March 29 and it will approach within 0.048 au on October 4. Its absolute magnitude of 18.3 suggests a diameter of roughly 660 meters, but otherwise nothing is known about its physical properties. This object will reach a solar elongation of about 90 degrees in late September when the NEOWISE mission might observe it. If so, then estimates of its diameter and optical albedo may become available shortly before the radar observations start. This object should yield SNRs at Goldstone strong enough for imaging at a resolution of 0.5 usec and possibly 0.25 usec. Tracks at Goldstone are scheduled on October 3 and 4. This will be an excellent target at Arecibo with SNRs strong enough for imaging at 7.5 m resolution. The Minor Planet Center has classified 2015 FS332 as a "Potentially Hazardous Asteroid."
