The central bar at the origin of each spectrum shows +/- 1 standard deviation of the receiver noise. The spectra shown were first averaged in 20-degree phase bins and then smoothed to a frequency resolution of 30 Hz. The weighted-average phase is given at the upper left of each spectrum. End-on views are at 0 and 180 degrees. The Doppler spectrum of Model 2 at each of these weighted-average phases is shown in red for comparison with the data. The greatest improvement in the spectral fit occurs at rotation phases from 210 to 310 degrees, corresponding to views of the M1 side.
