1999 AQ10 Goldstone Radar Observations Planning
1999 AQ10 was discovered by LINEAR (New Mexico) on January 14, 1999. It will approach within 0.0113 AU (4.4 lunar distances) on February 18, 2009, although it will be too far south for Goldstone to track at that time. We know little about this object, but its absolute magnitude of 20.2 and its S-taxonomic class suggests a diameter of roughly 290 meters. Goldstone observations are scheduled on February 10 and 13. Arecibo observations are scheduled on February 10-13. This object will brighten to about 13th magnitude in mid-February when it will be a good target for photometric and spectroscopic observations. 1999 AQ10 has been classified as a "Potentially Hazardous Asteroid" by the Minor Planet Center.
